A Marathon Metamorphoses was a two-day reading held August 29-30, 2009, within the galleries of the Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts. Over seventy readers from the St. Louis, MO area read Ovid's Metamorphoses in fifteen-minute turns, finishing the Classic in its entirety Sunday evening. The event was presented by the Pulitzer, the St. Louis Poetry Center, and River Styx, in conjunction with Ideal (Dis-) Placements: Old Masters at the Pulitzer.
